The bank described the accusations as malicious, false, and defamatory, emphasizing that the claims lack any factual basis. HDFC Bank also suggested that the timing of the allegations against its Managing Director and CEO, Sashidhar Jagdishan, indicates a devious motive on the part of the trust. In response, the bank has announced it will take legal action to protect its reputation and that of its CEO. Meanwhile, the Lilavati Trust has maintained that the claims made by HDFC Bank do not add up, continuing the dispute between the two parties.
