
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) reported a net profit of ₹3,023 crore for the third quarter ending December 31, 2024, marking a 378.9% increase from ₹631 crore in the same period last year. This result surpassed analysts' expectations, which had forecasted a profit of ₹2,945 crore. The company's revenue also grew by 10.6% to ₹110,505.4 crore compared to ₹99,925.9 crore a year earlier. Despite this positive performance, HPCL's shares rose by 4.9% to an intraday high of ₹380 per share following the announcement.
