India Deploys Bhairav Commandos After ‘Operation Sindoor’ Hits Militants

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the Armed Forces executed “Operation Sindoor” with precision, eliminating militants and their local supporters responsible for the recent terror attack in Pahalgam. Singh credited residents in border regions for backing the operation and described the mission as emblematic of a "New India" that responds swiftly to violence committed along religious lines. In a parallel move to bolster readiness, three Bhairav Commando battalions have been deployed to India’s northern frontier bordering China and Pakistan, with additional units positioned in the northeast and western sectors. The redeployment comes amid heightened regional tensions following the Pahalgam incident and is intended to reinforce front-line deterrence.
