India has reported a loss of ₹107 crore due to cyber fraud during the first three quarters of the current fiscal year. In response to the surge in digital payment transactions, which exceeded 18,000 crore in 2024-25, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) have initiated awareness campaigns and AI-based solutions aimed at preventing financial cybercrimes. Union Bank of India has emphasized the importance of secure mobile banking through its Vyom App, promoting cashless transactions and enhanced security measures for users.
