The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) has issued a public advisory warning that authorities such as the CBI, police, customs, and ED do not arrest individuals through video calls. This advisory comes amid a rise in 'digital arrest' scams. Additionally, Mumbai police have uncovered a scam targeting men on dating apps, with at least 28 victims. The scam involves women luring men to specific bars under the guise of casual dates, where they are then exploited. In a separate incident, a woman lost Rs 1.75L in a heartbreaking cyber fraud.
