The Airline Pilots' Association of India said on Sunday it is considering legal action to gain formal representation in the government’s probe into the Air India Boeing 787-8 crash near Ahmedabad. The group argues that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s preliminary findings appear to place undue emphasis on pilot error without sufficient input from flight-deck professionals. ALPA-India plans to meet officials of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to press its demand for transparency and direct participation in the investigation. The association maintains that involving pilots in the inquiry would enhance the credibility of the final report and help identify broader systemic issues that may have contributed to the accident.
