Indian startups have raised a total of $12.2 billion in funding during the first ten months of 2024, surpassing the entire funding amount of $11 billion for the whole of 2023. In October alone, the sector attracted $1.106 billion across 103 deals, marking the sixth consecutive month of billion-dollar funding. However, this figure represents an 11% decline year-over-year. Notably, major contributions to this funding surge came from significant investments in companies like OpenAI, reflecting a strong interest from investors in the Indian startup ecosystem.
