According to a report by Nasscom-Zinnov, Indian tech startup funding increased by 23% year-over-year to reach $7.4 billion in 2024. The report also noted a 27% rise in the number of deals and a doubling in the number of newly founded startups. However, another source indicated that overall funding in India has decreased by 32% year-over-year, with a total of 32,000 startups and 68 unicorns currently operating in the country. Despite these mixed signals, deep tech sectors are reportedly performing well amidst the challenges faced by the broader startup ecosystem.
