India’s Enforcement Directorate on 10 July carried out search operations at five Bengaluru premises linked to Karnataka Congress legislator SN Subba Reddy and members of his family. The agency said the raids were conducted under Section 37 of the Foreign Exchange Management Act following allegations that the MLA maintained undisclosed overseas bank balances and used foreign funds for vehicle purchases.
