Interglobe Aviation, the operator of India's largest airline IndiGo, reported a consolidated net loss of ₹986.7 crore for the second quarter of the 2024-25 financial year, marking its first loss in two years. This loss was attributed to rising fuel costs and increased airport charges, significantly missing market expectations, which had forecasted a loss of ₹194.9 crore. Despite this setback, the company saw a revenue increase of 13.6% to ₹16,969.6 crore, surpassing the anticipated ₹16,790.4 crore. The airline's EBITDAR stood at ₹2,434 crore, although this was lower than the previous year's figure of ₹2,446.5 crore. In contrast, JSW Steel reported positive results, beating margin expectations and achieving healthy realizations for the quarter.
