InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, reported a 20.2% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹2,176 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, missing analysts' expectations. The profit drop was attributed to a brief shutdown of some airports due to a border conflict and a decrease in travel demand following an Air India plane crash. Despite the profit decline, revenue increased by 4.7% to ₹20,496 crore. EBITDA rose slightly by 1.3% to ₹5,227 crore, while EBITDAR fell 1.2% to ₹5,739 crore. The operating margin decreased to 25.5% from the previous year, and the EBITDAR margin declined from 29.7% to 27.9%.
