
On January 18, 2025, Kotak Mahindra Bank and RBL Bank released their quarterly earnings for the third quarter of FY 2025. Kotak Mahindra Bank reported a consolidated net profit of ₹4,701 crore, marking a 10% increase year-on-year. The bank's net interest income (NII) also rose by 10% to ₹33.05 billion. In contrast, RBL Bank's net profit fell sharply by 86% year-on-year to ₹32.63 crore, significantly below the expected ₹124.7 crore. RBL Bank's provisions surged to ₹1,188.9 crore, up from ₹618 crore quarter-on-quarter and ₹458 crore year-on-year. The bank's standalone income increased by 10.8% to ₹3,536 crore.
