Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday claimed that unidentified political actors are orchestrating crimes across Bihar to damage the reputation of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Speaking to reporters in Begusarai, Singh alleged that the incidents are part of a broader conspiracy aimed at creating fear and undermining the state government, adding that those involved "will soon be exposed." The Rashtriya Janata Dal, a key opposition party in the state, dismissed the accusation, saying the ruling coalition is attempting to deflect attention from deteriorating law-and-order conditions. Party representatives argued that maintaining public safety is the administration’s responsibility and urged the government to address crime instead of blaming unnamed rivals.
