The Indian government, under Modi 3.0 and in collaboration with SBI Card and telecommunications companies, is intensifying efforts to combat cyber fraud. A new initiative, the Cyber Fraud Mitigation Centre, will be established under the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre to address financial losses due to online fraud, operational in the first 100 days of Modi's third term. This center will centralize efforts by allowing all stakeholders to operate from a single location. Recent victims of cyber fraud include Bhushan Rajput, who lost Rs 3.95 lakh, and a Pune management consultant who lost Rs 20 lakh due to trading fraud. Additionally, India's central bank is set to revise guidelines to enable banks to temporarily freeze accounts suspected of being involved in cybercrimes.
