Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting in New Delhi with senior ministers, key bureaucrats and prominent economists to draw up a detailed roadmap for the next round of economic reforms. The discussions build on measures Modi outlined in his 15 August Independence Day address, including overhauling the goods-and-services tax system and other so-called next-generation reforms aimed at spurring growth, improving the ease of doing business and enhancing overall living standards.
PM Narendra Modi tweets, "Chaired a meeting to discuss the roadmap for Next-Generation Reforms. We are committed to speedy reforms across all sectors, which will boost Ease of Living, Ease of Doing Business and prosperity." (Pics: PM Narendra Modi/X) https://t.co/m8Fn0AFc8Y
