Another incident involved a Bengaluru MNC product marketing head who was placed under 'digital arrest' for 10 hours and lost Rs 51 lakh to cybercriminals. In Hyderabad, a woman lost Rs 15 lakh after receiving a message from a fake SBI officer. Additionally, a courier scam in Bengaluru saw a man being cheated out of Rs 30 lakh by individuals posing as CBI officers, including a house help, an auto-rickshaw driver, and a chef.
