
The S&P 500 had its best week so far in 2024, adding $1.8 trillion in market capitalization. This follows a significant increase of nearly $5 trillion between August 5th and August 30th. The top 10 largest stocks in the world saw their combined value rise to $19.17 trillion, up from $18.18 trillion last week. In India, the top-10 most valued firms added Rs 2,01,552.69 crore in market valuation, with Bharti Airtel being the biggest gainer, increasing by Rs 54,282.62 crore to Rs 9,30,490.20 crore. HDFC Bank's valuation rose by Rs 22,093.99 crore to Rs 12,70,035.77 crore, while ICICI Bank's market cap surged by Rs 29,662.44 crore to Rs 8,80,867.09 crore. Tata Consultancy Services added Rs 23,427.12 crore, bringing its valuation to Rs 16,36,189.63 crore.
