
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is considering significant regulatory changes to attract more investors to angel funds and startups. SEBI has proposed raising the maximum investment limit by angel funds in startups from Rs 10 crore to Rs 25 crore. Additionally, SEBI is contemplating reducing the lower cap limit for angel fund investments from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. These proposals are open for public consultation and comments until November 28. SEBI is also exploring the possibility of removing angel funds regulation from its purview.
