The Supreme Court of India has deferred the hearing of petitions related to the marital rape exception case by four weeks. Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud, who is set to retire next month on November 11, stated that it would not be possible to conclude the hearing in the foreseeable future. As a result, a new bench will be allotted to hear the case.
