Meanwhile, major automotive players including Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Toyota are eyeing India's electric vehicle (EV) policy, seeking favorable tariff arrangements. Additionally, Indian Minister Piyush Goyal has urged local firms to adopt electric vehicle technologies, indicating a shift in government stance towards hybrids and EVs.
