
Indian edtech company Unacademy has laid off 250 employees across various functions including marketing, business, product, and sales. The company stated that the layoffs are part of an ongoing effort to streamline operations and enhance business efficiency following a recent restructuring. Nearly 100 of the layoffs were performance-based exits, according to company sources speaking to @CNBCTV18News. This follows a previous round of layoffs in March 2023, when Unacademy cut close to 10% of its workforce to reduce costs and achieve profitability.
