The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP STF) has uncovered a significant cheating racket during the CSIR-NET exam at Subharti University in Meerut. The operation revealed the use of remote access devices to facilitate cheating, leading to the arrest of seven individuals, including key university personnel and four applicants. Among those arrested were three employees of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The UP STF discovered an extra admin computer in the server room, which was used to manipulate exam results. According to ADG (law and order) Amitabh Yash, the operation was based on confidential information. The investigation also highlighted the involvement of 'solver gangs' operating in Uttar Pradesh, who assist candidates in cheating during exams. Authorities are proposing harsh punishments to deter organized gangs and individuals involved in such fraudulent activities.
