Zomato has invested an additional Rs 500 crore in its quick commerce platform Blinkit, according to recent filings with the Registrar of Companies. This latest infusion raises Zomato's total investment in Blinkit to Rs 2,800 crore since its acquisition of the company in August 2022. The investment follows Zomato's successful Rs 8,500 crore Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) fundraising, positioning the company to compete in a rapidly growing quick commerce sector alongside other players such as Zepto and Swiggy.
