Roy Suryo Launches 700-Page "Jokowi's White Paper" on Academic Credentials Amid UGM Cancellation; Blora Illegal Oil Well Fire Kills Three, Hundreds Evacuated

Roy Suryo has launched a book titled "Jokowi's White Paper," which focuses on events from 2013 and contains nearly 700 pages discussing issues related to President Joko Widodo's academic credentials, including his diploma and thesis documents. The book's release faced obstacles when Gadjah Mada University (UGM) canceled the room rental for the launch event, which Roy Suryo described as intimidation. Legal representatives for Roy Suryo stated that the cancellation and other hindrances amounted to attempts at silencing. The book's research reportedly presents conclusions about Jokowi's academic documents that differ from those announced by the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Mabes Polri). Meanwhile, in Blora, Central Java, a fire at an illegal oil well in Dusun Gendono, Kecamatan Bogorejo, has killed three people and forced the evacuation of hundreds. The fire remains unextinguished, prompting calls from the Central Java regional secretary, Sumarno, for serious measures to regulate community-owned oil wells in the area. Police have questioned eight witnesses related to the Blora oil well fire and three witnesses, including activists and YouTubers, in connection with the Jokowi diploma case.
