Several verified X (formerly Twitter) accounts have been compromised despite two-factor authentication (2FA) security measures. Notably, the account of a prominent user known as allenanalysis was hacked, resulting in the deletion of his most viral tweet, which had sparked national debate and garnered millions of views. The hackers replaced the content with a cryptocurrency scam. Allenanalysis publicly called out the platform's security failure and sought answers from X's support team and Elon Musk. Fortunately, with assistance from X staff including @krassenstein, the deleted tweets were fully restored. In addition, other users including AjOsborne1 and Tory Bruno reported their accounts were hacked, with changes made to login credentials, preventing access. Tory Bruno has reported the incident to X's premium support. These incidents highlight ongoing security challenges faced by the platform despite implemented safeguards.
ALERT: @ToryBruno's X account has been compromised. He has contacted @premium to report.
Hey everyone - My X account was hacked and I can't log in. Hacker changed my email/phone and I can't get access. I was able to log in through a scheduling tool to post this. Please report my account to X support so they can help me get access to my account. Thank you!
My account was hacked. Tweets wiped. But thanks to @krassenstein and the team at X, everything’s been fully restored. Back in the fight; with receipts, reach, and righteous fury intact. Let’s roll.
