U.S. insurance company Allianz Life experienced a cyberattack in late July 2025 that compromised the personal data of approximately 1.1 million customers. The breach involved a social engineering attack that exposed sensitive information including names, phone numbers, physical addresses, dates of birth, and gender. According to the breach notification site Have I Been Pwned, 72% of the compromised email addresses were already known to the site prior to this incident. The total number of breached accounts was reported as 1,115,061. Allianz Life has not publicly detailed the specific measures taken following the breach.
