They also clarified that CoinMarketCap does not have an official token or coin, urging users to be wary of any promotions for CMC-Tokens, which are fraudulent. Other entities, including Coinbase Ventures and Digital Finance Group (DFG), have similarly warned users about fake accounts impersonating them and spreading misinformation. These organizations emphasize the importance of verifying information through official sources to avoid falling victim to scams.
