Luxury jewelry brand Cartier, owned by Richemont, has disclosed a data breach in which an unauthorized party temporarily accessed its systems and obtained limited client information, including names, email addresses, and countries of residence. The company confirmed that passwords, credit card numbers, and other banking details were not compromised. Cartier has contained the attack, enhanced system protections, notified relevant authorities, and is working with external cybersecurity experts. Customers are advised to remain vigilant against phishing or unsolicited communications. Outdoor apparel company The North Face, owned by VF Corporation, experienced a credential stuffing attack on April 23, 2025. Attackers used credentials obtained from other breaches to access customer accounts, resulting in the theft of names, email addresses, shipping addresses, phone numbers, and dates of birth. Payment card data was not compromised, as it is not stored on the company's servers. The North Face has advised affected customers to update passwords and be cautious of suspicious communications. No ransomware or extortion was reported in either incident. These breaches are among several recent attacks affecting major retailers, including Dior, Adidas, Victoria's Secret, Marks & Spencer, Harrods, and the Co-op Group.
