In a significant cybersecurity incident, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was hacked in February, leading to the compromise of two of its key systems. The breach was attributed to hackers exploiting vulnerabilities in Ivanti VPN. Following the discovery of the intrusion, CISA was forced to take the affected computer systems offline to mitigate further damage. This event has raised concerns about the security of federal agencies against sophisticated cyber threats. In response to the incident, CISA has been actively working to secure its systems and has added the JetBrains TeamCity bug to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, highlighting the ongoing efforts to address and patch known security flaws.
