Multiple cybersecurity incidents have recently impacted healthcare and data broker organizations, exposing personal information of hundreds of thousands of individuals. The Marlboro-Chesterfield Pathology data breach affected 235,911 individuals. The University of Chicago Medicine (UChicago Medicine) medical group confirmed a cybersecurity incident involving one of its vendors, potentially exposing the personal information of approximately 38,000 patients. Additionally, data broker LexisNexis disclosed a breach that exposed personal information of over 364,000 people. Kettering Health also reported a systemwide cyberattack, though details on the extent of the breach have not been disclosed.
