The cryptocurrency community faced significant security breaches across multiple platforms, with notable exploits and phishing schemes leading to substantial financial losses. Dolomite Exchange's old contracts were exploited in an approval attack, resulting in approximately $1.8 million in USDC being stolen. The attackers managed to swap the stolen USDC for around 541.5 ETH (~$1.9m) and 94k DAI, exploiting the batchTransfer function of the TradeDelegate contract. A similar security breach occurred with AirDAO, where hackers stole 35.2 million AMB tokens and 125.51 ETH from its AMB/ETH Uniswap pool, with the total losses amounting to approximately $880K. These incidents highlight the ongoing risks associated with legacy contracts and the importance of continuous security monitoring in the cryptocurrency space.
