
EigenLayer has assured its community that its protocol remains secure following an incident where approximately $5.87 million worth of EIGEN tokens were stolen from an investor through an email hack. The attacker swapped 1.674 million EIGEN tokens for USDC via MetaMask Swap and transferred most of the funds to the HitBTC exchange, with a smaller portion sent to Kraken. The wallet involved in the unauthorized selling activity has been labeled on Etherscan, and an investigation is underway.
