Immunefi, a leading bug bounty platform in Web3, announced a $500,000 bug bounty program in collaboration with Omni, aimed at enhancing security in the blockchain space. The initiative comes as Immunefi reported that in 2024, security researchers earned over $23 million, averaging $46,000 per critical vulnerability identified. The platform has facilitated the discovery of more than 600 critical and high vulnerabilities, contributing to the prevention of over $25 billion in potential losses due to hacks. Additionally, various security firms, including HashEx and xAudits, are promoting their services to bolster smart contract security, highlighting the increasing focus on safeguarding blockchain projects.
