Hackers used their profiles to promote a fake cryptocurrency project purportedly tied to World Liberty Financial, a new crypto venture associated with the Trump family. The scam involved promoting $WL tokens on Solana. Eric Trump confirmed the hack, warning followers not to click on any links or purchase any tokens shared from these accounts. The compromised accounts have since been locked to prevent further dissemination of the scam.
