
Hackers associated with the 2022 LastPass security breach have reportedly stolen $5.4 million in cryptocurrency from over 40 wallets. This incident, confirmed by blockchain investigator ZachXBT, involved the exploitation of sensitive data, including private keys. The stolen funds were converted into Bitcoin and Ethereum before being laundered through various exchanges. This latest theft adds to the total losses linked to the LastPass breach, which now exceeds $250 million. Victims have been advised to migrate their wallets if their credentials were compromised during the breach.
