Notably, the group has reportedly earned $107 million in ransom payments. The logs also indicate that Black Basta utilizes QakBot for initial access and exploits SMB misconfigurations. Additionally, a cybersecurity firm identified 62 Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) mentioned in these chats, with more than 50 having been exploited, highlighting the group's ongoing threat to cybersecurity.
