Following an international police operation aimed at dismantling the LockBit ransomware group, the cybercriminal organization has announced its comeback, stating "LockBit is back". Despite the takedown efforts, LockBit has resurfaced, releasing a comprehensive statement detailing their return, republishing previous attacks such as the one on Fulton County Government, and announcing four new victims on their data leak site. In a significant development, LockBitSupp, a key figure within the group, is "reportedly" cooperating with law enforcement. The group has also issued a call for increased attacks on government organizations, blaming outdated software for their initial breach. Among the new targets, Silgan Holdings and Ernest Health have been compromised, with ransom deadlines set for "28th Feb 24".
