These incidents included exploits, hacks, and scams, resulting in about $79 million lost, although ~$69 million was returned. Phishing, exit scams, flash loans, and exploits were the primary methods of theft, with phishing accounting for about $21 million, exit scams approximately $5.7 million, flash loans around $21.9 million, and exploits about $52.1 million. Despite these challenges, successful recovery efforts were made, with PeckShield reporting that nearly $100 million in digital assets stolen during March were recovered. Additionally, four projects, namely Munchables, Super Sushi Samurai, Dolomite, and Unizen, managed to recover $68.46 million of the stolen funds. The 7th richest Bitcoin address, potentially linked to Tether, received about 8,889 BTC (worth roughly $627 million) from Bitfinex within the last 12 hours of reporting. Furthermore, OpenLeverage was exploited for approximately $236,000, and another report highlighted an alarming $90.33 million in losses for a single week.
