A significant phishing campaign is currently targeting users on the social media platform X. Multiple reports indicate that users are receiving direct messages (DMs) containing links that, when clicked, lead to the theft of their account passwords. Notable accounts associated with Timcast and other prominent users have been affected, including @ProvideXCheck sending spam messages. Users are advised to avoid clicking on any suspicious links, to report and mute such messages, and to report them as scams. The campaign involves sending official-sounding messages that prompt users to re-log into their accounts, resulting in compromised security. Elon Musk and X's official channels have been notified of the ongoing issue.

Phishing campaign is running wild. People in my DM’s sending this message. How it works: An official sounding message like this arrives. People click link. Then password stolen and account taken. https://t.co/IMLSTtNUEV
Has anyone received this kind of DM? Very fishy. Beware. Don’t click on link. @X @elonmusk https://t.co/vQQwMsbZoS
