A phishing scheme has been identified on the social media platform X, where bad actors are impersonating X Support in direct messages. The fraudulent accounts, including one with over 700,000 followers, send messages claiming a copyright violation and direct users to malicious links. X Support has advised users to be cautious and only trust direct messages from official handles, @Support and @Safety. Additionally, the account @imshin has been hacked, further contributing to the phishing operation. Users are warned not to click on suspicious links in DMs.
⚠️ Warning Beware. This account is actually @ imshin and was hacked. Do not click on any suspicious links such as the one in the 2nd picture. @x @support https://t.co/wB4SVMCwF3
‼️Watch out! @imshin has been hacked. This isn’t really @X support. DO NOT click links in DMs. Looks like a dangerous phishing operation. https://t.co/8xnR5PXoqN
Just so you all know, this is a scam account that will send you the DM on the right about your account being under review. They are trying to get you to go to the link. https://t.co/joB1r2SFsk
