Researchers have uncovered multiple severe security flaws in widely used Telit Cinterion cellular modems, which pose significant risks to various industries. These vulnerabilities could allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via SMS, granting them unprecedented access to the modem’s operating system. Millions of IoT devices and communication networks are at risk due to these flaws. The vulnerabilities have been identified as critical, and there are currently no patches available to mitigate these risks. The findings were reported by darkreading, The Hacker News, and Kaspersky.
