This unpatched flaw poses significant risks to critical infrastructure across commercial, financial, and healthcare sectors. Security researchers from Akamai Technologies have highlighted that this vulnerability is being used to hijack discontinued internet-connected security cameras, exacerbating the threat. The vulnerability is easily exploitable and has led to the formation of a botnet surge known as 'Corona Mirai'.
