The Central Bank of Iran has ordered all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges to restrict their operating hours to 10 a.m.–8 p.m. local time, responding to a security breach at Nobitex that siphoned about $100 million worth of digital assets. Blockchain-analysis firm Chainalysis, which disclosed the scale of the Nobitex exploit, said the time-bound curfew is meant to tighten oversight, reduce off-hours vulnerabilities and stem potential capital flight in the wake of the incident.
