The Lebanese Army said two of its personnel were killed and two others wounded on 28 August when an Israeli drone that had crashed near the coastal town of Naqoura, close to the Israeli border, exploded as they examined it. In a statement, the military identified the fatalities as an officer and a non-commissioned officer. The device detonated shortly after the inspection team reached the site, according to the army’s account.
