Italian Postal Police Reports 182 Million Euros in Scams, 18,714 Online Fraud Cases, and 2,700 Blacklisted Sites in 2024

The Italian Postal Police released a report on cybersecurity, highlighting a 32% increase in reported scams, totaling 182 million euros in 2024 compared to the previous year. The report indicated that online fraud cases rose to 18,714, marking a 15% increase from 2023. Additionally, over 42,000 websites related to child pornography were monitored, with more than 2,700 added to a blacklist. The findings underscore the growing challenges posed by cybercrime, including cyberterrorism, online fraud, and child exploitation.
