Tether, the issuer of the cryptocurrency USDT, has announced its acquisition of a 30% stake in the Italian media company Be Water for $10.8 million (€10 million). Be Water specializes in the production and distribution of films, series, and podcasts. This investment marks Tether's strategic move to diversify beyond its core fintech operations. The transaction is part of Tether's broader strategy to expand into media and entertainment, reflecting its growing interest in artistic and cultural content. The investment comes as Tether reported a record revenue of $548 million over the past 30 days and a total supply of USDT reaching 144.89 billion, with $11.37 billion printed recently.
