Despite his general reluctance towards foreign acquisitions of Japanese companies, Nagao believes that a foreign bid could bring necessary changes to the retail giant. Couche-Tard chairman Alain Bouchard has shown interest in acquiring 7-Eleven, although the odds of such a deal are considered long.
