The Bank of Japan said Governor Kazuo Ueda will travel to the United States from 21 to 25 August to attend the annual Jackson Hole Economic Symposium in Wyoming, an event hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Central bank chiefs and economists from around the world gather at the symposium each year to discuss monetary policy and economic challenges, making the meeting a closely watched fixture on the global financial calendar. Ueda’s participation will mark his latest international engagement since taking office in 2023.
