Japanese game developer Enish Co. plans to invest 100 million yen (approximately $660,000) in Bitcoin, with the purchase expected to be completed between April 1 and April 4, 2025. This move aims to enhance the company's blockchain expertise, particularly in relation to its game, Last Memories. Meanwhile, Tokyo-based Metaplanet has made a substantial acquisition of 696 Bitcoin for 10.2 billion yen (around $63.5 million), marking its largest purchase to date. This acquisition brings Metaplanet's total Bitcoin holdings to 4,046 BTC, with the company reportedly aiming for a total of 21,000 BTC by 2026. The recent surge in Bitcoin transactions has reached approximately $5.5 trillion in the last quarter, indicating a growing interest in the cryptocurrency market among Japanese firms.
