Immutable, a leading platform for games on Ethereum, has announced a partnership with Japan's top mobile game developer, valued at $6 billion, to launch Tokyo Beast, a new Web3 game. This collaboration marks Immutable's third partnership with a multi-billion dollar company, following previous agreements with Ubisoft ($2.5 billion) and Netmarble ($4 billion). Tokyo Beast is set in a futuristic version of Tokyo in the year 2124, where players can engage in competitive gameplay through 'XENO-karate' tournaments featuring androids called 'BEAST.' The game also offers a unique spectator experience, allowing users to predict match outcomes and earn rewards. The game introduces innovative Web3 features such as a pooled NFT system, which allows new players to participate without owning NFTs, and advanced breeding mechanics for BEAST androids. Tokyo Beast aims to host daily arena battles and a weekend Championship, with the top 20 players weekly receiving in-game rewards and recognition. Immutable has hit over 500 games on its platform and boasts 2 million monthly active users (MAU), with major updates nearly ready.
